My mother lives on a 2nd floor apartment in Albir ,the management company who own the building are currently working on the two lifts in the building , they are out of service for the next month, due to health issues she is unable to use the stairs making her a prisoner in her apartment. Does anyone know if she has any rights in regards to this issue.

Hi......in the event of a fire it is normal for any lifts to return to ground and not to be used. The last thing you want is to be trapped in a lift when there is a fire. If the smoke doesn't kill you the heat would.

You would think that the management company would arrange to work on one lift at a time so people could still use them......especially people who need them for health reasons.
