Just some updated info for those who usually use Angar Taxation Services to submit their Mondelo 210 and may not already be aware - they are now charging 20 euros for each seperate part of the process, ie completion, submission, and payment of your tax, making 60 euros in total, up from 20 euros.

I have looked at Spanish Tax Forms whose charge is a similar amount.  Has anyone who is UK based succesfully done their own and dont mind sharing details?

Thanks Julie

20,- is acceptable but for the entire process. You are getting ripped of in a nasty way.

Hi Julie

Yes I changed to anger taxation services last year because my fiscal rep was charging a lot more, but this yr Anger has gone up tremendously and I think they will lose a lot of customers. I need a 1 stop shop who does the lot for a reasonable price and like you will be looking els

Hi Leah

Yes it’s certainly not easy to pay your taxes in Spain if you reside elsewhere. It seems the onus is on the individual to find out what they owe and how to pay it, and you don’t know what you don’t know. I imagine it would be quite easy to default without even knowing it was owed.
can you actually go into a suma office and pay? We didn’t even get a bill last year so unsure if you can do it without.
hopefully someone on here will know how best to proceed without having to pay over the odds for a third party to do it for you.

Hi Julie

I, ve used Angar for many years and only found out on this forum about the new process. No email notice received. We paid €40 joint owners, and unsure how you arrive at €60 as it,s now double the old rate(2 processes now) so cost for 2 owners will be €80. I contacted Spanish Tax forms, man told me nothing has changed re submitting the payment so couldn't understand Angar's reasoning other than simply putting up price. With Spanish Tax forms it's £34.95 for calculation and £12 per owner for payment which is now cheaper than Angar. I,ve done nothing re changing yet but annoyed Angar hasn't been honest regarding their new pricing and doubling up the price is disgusting.

Regards

Pauline

Hi Pauline

Yes, given the consistently good reviews for Angar I think it is surprising that they have made this move. When I queried it they replied that they hadn’t had a price increase for 14 years.

Everything is increasing in price, and for convenience alone I could maybe have reluctantly gone with the 40 euros , but 60?!

As Spanish tax forms charge in sterling the difference between the two figures is not huge, and Angar may still be easier as theyalready  have all of our information, however I don’t really feel like I want to give them the business.

Next time we are in Spain in will be asking around for local advice. If I do find a better cheaper way I will post on here.

Jukie

Hi Julie

I feel the same too, but how do you get it to 60€? If you are only owner and paid 20€ before then surely it will be 40€ as Andy has told me ours will be €80 for 2 owners.

He said each element, ie preparation of the form, submission and then making payment was 20 euros. 3 elements at 20 euros eachMaybe he only charges x1 for making payment ?

Julie,

If you go on their website they have 5 bands of services, you would need band 1 (calculate the payment) =€20, band 2 pay on your behalf(submission) =€20.  band 3 is for previous years calculations(not required for up to date payments) band 4 postal receipt, and band 5 is postal after recharge(back years). So if you're happy as before accepting receipt by email you should only be paying 2x€20 for calculation and submission. I suggest you send an email requesting the new charge for calculation and submission, receiving proof of receipt by email. I wouldn't opt for postal as I don't believe we ever get post as we should. I am going to email him asking if the calculation includes the relevant paperwork to take to the bank for us to pay at an atm, as I know some bills can be paid through the atm instead of going in to the bank. The man at Spanish tax forms told me the relevant form to take to the bank would be sent by email after calculation for printing off. Obviously that requires us to be in Spain sometime before December but can be paid anytime in the year. Hope this helps.

Regards

Pauline.

Hi Pauline,

Thank you for that. I have never had a postal receipt anyway only by email. I will ask the same question regarding a form to pay at the atm, or we could go into the suma office .

Wonder why he never suggested this to me?!
