Has anyone travelled recently from Alicante to Edinburgh or Glasgow if so what 2 and 8 day tests did you use, I have ordered Randox Health but not sure if these are acceptable in Scotland, I believe they are fine for England. Any help much appreciated.

I've got the same ones and about to return the Day 2 one.  The nearest drop off point is a three hour round trip for us, so will use Royal Mail to return them at my own expense.  The testing lab is in Northern Ireland, but it says the sample is good for 70 hours so no big problem if arrives later than next day.

To update my previous post, I have now returned my Randox tests using a Royal Mail 'priority post box' here in West Cornwall (nearly all village post offices seem to have a 'priority postbox' so they collect 7 days a week).  Royal Mail Tracked 24 service, printed the postage labels at home, £5.64 and put two sample tubes in the one box.  All very easy.

Many thanks GordonH605, Can I ask which airport you arrived into in Scotland.

I didn't fly in to Scotland, but as I'm using a Royal Mail service I don't think it makes any difference where you are, unless it's very remote. I have now received a tracking notification that it will be delivered to Northern Ireland tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, after posting on Friday).

Sorry GordonH605 what I am trying to find out is if the Randox test is acceptable in Scotland as the rules vary between the home nations and someone has told me that Scotland will only accept tests from their one approved supplier albeit Ryanair bombard me with emails about Randox knowing my flights are Edinburgh/Alicante return. Hence the reason of my original question.

Cheers

Sorry, it never occurred to me that the blessed Nicola might insist on being different from England to this extent. The only reliable source of information is the Scottish government web site.

If we survive this organisational nightmare it might kill us anyway.   I hope you get on ok.  I’m coming the op way Scotland to Mojacar in Sept, no doubt with the Euros and the Benidorm rush it will be Shut again

I have at last had a reply from Scottish government saying you must book your 2/8 day testing kits from the CTM Booking Portal at £170 for both tests.

Hi,

is that person or for 2 people? I ask as you can book the 2&8 day test with Randox for £96 person, or £86 with code easyjet2021, but they may not be an accepted supplier in Scotland.

Aitch.
