If you are a Spanish resident you have no right to use the UK NHS unless you are entitled to an S1 from DWP at Newcastle. In order to get residency here you will have to pay for the first year's private medical insurance up front after which you can join the Convenio Especial at @ €65 a month each which covers pre-existing conditions but you have to pay in full for all medication.
Bear in mind that with private medical insurance you will be restricted to clinics and hospitals that the insurer has agreements with and not all will cover pre-existing conditions. Gran Alacant Insurance who advertise on this site are often recommended for this.
The Spanish health system is very good in my own experience but my Spanish is not good enough yet to cope without paying for an interpreter each time.
All things being equal post Brexit, once in receipt of a UK state pension you will be entitled to use the Spanish health system and pay 10% of prescription charges.

From a purely medical standpoint, there is absolutely no reason for you to need to return to UK for checkups - the Health Service here is excellent.

To be honest I would probably seek a view from whoever is providing your care/ checkups at this time in the UK. Advise them what you are doing and ask what they would recommend. It could be that you need to get a few letters articulating history and what the checkups are for.

If you are confident that there is an effective handshake between the systems then all good and well.

One obtains one’s medical records from the UK practice, which one then has translated and presents to the Spanish Healthcare Provider. The UK practice will charge a fee for this.

In a word, no. You'll have to go to your Spanish doctor. How you register , etc in the future depends on Boris, I'm afraid 😏
