My late husband and I came to live in Almoradí when I was 62 and he was almost 68.   We had 10 lovely years together here.   Almoradí has 6 large and a few small supermarkets, along with many other types of shops, a football ground, bus station (but not many buses), large medical cent...

...re, churches, many bars and restaurants and every Saturday morning there is a large market that takes over many of the streets in the centre of town.   Also, we are only about 20 minutes’ drive from the sea and some good beaches.   As with many Spanish towns there are also many fiestas with fantastic parades.

😊 thanks very useful info as visiting Algorfa late Oct time👍

Hi. I’m 63 and just bought an apartment in Algorfa. The village is a lovely place you can walk to anywhere in the village within a few minutes. Public transport is thin on the ground and a car would mean getting around much easier. Almoradi is a few minutes away by taxi and has everything you c...

...ould possibly need. However like any town I don’t think it felt right for me. It’s like everywhere and everyone you know the type of things you like to do and the type of places you usually enjoy. You have guardama and Torrevieja within 20 mins and both have fantastic beaches, proms and every type of restaurant you could possibly want. However the properties are much more expensive and it is much more impersonal because there is so much passing trade. I would recommend you go out for a couple of weeks and have a good look around the area. I would also highly recommend Home Costa Blanca. They speak perfect English, it’s a family business, they know Algorfa and surrounding areas as they live there and if you do purchase a property through the they will hold your hand every step of the way if you want them to. https://www.homecostablanca.com/ Good luck finding what you are looking for.

Great advice & review, very helpful 🌞🇪🇸👍
