Very helpful member
It is possibly easier to find a translator for your visits to a doctor, rather than an english speaking doctor.
This what people here usually do.

Many of the doctors, although speaking English, will not do so due to the possibility of losing something in translation. Our med centre has signs up that, if you don't speak Spanish, you should be accompanied by a translator.
I accompany my wife as translator when seeing our GP. The doctor wouldn't speak English at all to start but, after many years here, she now tells me in Spanish and then in English to my wife but looks to me for confirmation that she's got it right but that's after a long time.
We've had several people saying they wanted to change GPs to an English speaking one but have been refused as that is not an accepted reason for changing GPs. We do find those at the hospital are more amenable to English, though, just not the GPs.
Suggest you use a translator to start and see how it goes once you have got a rapport going with the GP.
