PAYG MOBILES

Can anyone recommend a good pay as you go mobile company and one that you don't have to keep topping up every three months etc to avoid de-activation etc?
Hits mobile do a PAYG service and for an extra €5 per year can keep your line even if not used for long periods. When we were only visitors we used this service and even when resident kept the service for my OH mobile as it was only carried for emergencies such as car breakdowns.
Sorry but I do not know how rates compare against other suppliers.
