Real estate agency
Hello everyone,
I would like some recommendations on a reputable & established real estate agency that speaks English or French that covers the whole Costa Blanca region.
Your recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Look on Kyero or Rightmove Spain and don’t limit yourself to one agent, they are sharks and only in it for their own interests. Find your own independent lawyer, don’t use one recommended by an agent, or you will get ripped off, they will soon find someone who speaks your language if you show interest.
Hi Ben, you could try the English / Spanish Family firm of Casas Manuel.
LeckyLes.
They don’t seem to go much further north than Benijofer though.

Hi Ben,
Fees do vary a little, so the best way to look at it is to calculate taxes and fees at around 12-13% of your purchase price.
For example, if you're buying a property for €200k, budget an additional €24-26k for costs. The property purchase tax, known as ITP, is fixed in the Valencia region at 10%. The further 2-3% will cover your lawyer, notary, etc. You may be able to reduce these costs a little by shopping around, but probably best to ask for specific lawyer recommendations, once you know where you're planning to buy.
I absolutely agree with Andrew about ensuring you engage an independent lawyer, not one recommended by the selling agent. Don't be persuaded by suggestions that it will be easier, cheaper, etc. You need to know that the lawyer is working in your interests, not the vendor and agent.
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Kim
