Any nice places to stay from Alicante City to Altea?

Hi all, have done all the research I can but felt I would probably gain a better insight from this forum so hope you can assist. I am travelling from Altea to Alicante City over 5 days [not driving so will be relying on public transport]. I would like to stop at different places each day/night along the route and wondered if you know of any nice, reasonably priced places to sleep or any hidden gems. I dont mind camping or staying in hostels and just want some nice places to explore and enjoy. All replies greatly appreciated. Thanks
