Thinking about relocating to Altea/Calpe area.Am a retired single person so need to be near services including transport links & not having a long uphill walk after going shopping.A 1 bedroom apartment would suffice.Am a fiscal resident in Spain so no other problems except I would like to hear your views as I am only familiar with  a different area.

A lot of older Brits choose Albir because it's relatively flat and property prices are cheaper than Altea. There's quite a large number of British people in Albir. It has good facilities,  excellent choice of restaurants and bars. The beach is cobbles though.

Altea is beautiful but most of it is a little hilly, and now one of the most expensive towns for property on the Costa Blanca North.

Calpe might be your best bet, fairly flat and property prices are reasonable unless you want front line/sea views. Also a large ex pat community there.
