In general how much per month are the fees for a property with a shared pool?

Hi we are at the very early stages of buying a property in the Costa Blanca region. Are the fees for a caravan park more per month than a property with a shared pool?

Thanks Jackie

Hi we considered buying a caravan on a park however when we looked into it caravan park fees seemed to be 3000-3500 euros whereas the first property we bought fees in total were around 500 per year. Basically if you have the capital it's a far better option to go for blocks & mortar!

We too had a caravan for 5 years. We now own apartment in Albir.

Caravan €4500 per year

Apartment €800 per year.

This is the difference.

Hi Jackie.

Surely the cost of the property is more a deciding factor than the monthly running cost. My community fees are 390 per annum, but the property was 200,000 euros. The community fees are based on number of properties in the community and the facilities. If a caravan for example is say 20,000 euros and the fees around 4500 per annum, then in 10 years the overall cost is around 65,000 (just round figures, not actuals). Try buying an apartment in Altea for 65,000, then add on the community fees. Its all relative to your budget.

Hi yes you are right, the cost of the property does come first. As I say we are only at the early stages. Just gathering information for next 6-12 months.

Soaking up everyone’s knowledge before we make a choice etc etc.

Thanks

Jackue
