Hi. If you search on this forum (above) on "wasps" there's loads of (sometimes good) info. V

Hi

Wasp is not a problem, just don't circulate very closed to the nest, they become agressive. Destroy only the nest in a place you need to go closely.

Wasps are annoying. My Spanish friend is allergic (if stung, its off to the medico)

So, she does not swim. ( many types of wasps are looking for water, ie pools)

There is much information (above) on this forum regarding pools etc.

Panic is not reason. Again, wasp are not dangerous. Unless you come closed to their nest, means 1 meter closed to it. They could come closed to the waterpool to look for water, not to attack us.

I use garden hose and stay at 3 or 4 meters from the nest, and cast them out. When the nest is destroy and take away, the wasps will still come during one day to find their nest, and then let the place and don't come anymore in this place.

This operation only if the nest is located in a place we need to come closed.

Your link is nice ! Personnaly, I've got orchard and vegetable garden, and the wasp are predators of many parasits like aphids. Wasp are allies in ecological garden.

Your link (& above) are useful. My Spanish friend accustomed to working in the country with bees & plants has no ["panic"] but she is used to anaphylactic shock with wasp venom. Rare, but three times needed medical care. My original advice was "treat with care".
