We are getting a Upvc sliding patio door fitted and it is going to be 8mm thick glass? - supposed to be ' all weather' and secure.
Any advice on double glazing specification in Spain would be appreciated.

Hi, I checked out double glazing in Spain and found it to be well below par on the UK double glazing. So I had mine made on the UK and brought it out in my van. It's far superior to anything you can buy in Spain. Might worth considering if you can get someone to measure up for you and you know someone with a van, it's a tall order but worth the trouble of doing it !.
22mm is UK standard you can get them made in Spain if you look round for a firm that makes them plenty in the area little factory units down side streets in Torrevieja
Not to the same standard as the British made doors and windows.
