Hi, we're spending the winter months in Benidorm this year and are looking to bring our wee Lhasa Apso with us.  However, we've heard horror stories about flying her over, so looking for recommendations from anyone who has used an alternative means of transport.  Any help would be appreciated.  Many thanks.

Thanks Nicola, I've heard some horror stories which has put me off flying her (although this would obviously be easiest).  Is this something you've done yourself?

Thank you so much for all your help and advice Nicola, this is definitely something we'll look into.

We'll also be travelling from Scotland ... Edinburgh or Aberdeen are better for us, so we'll contact KLM to see what they say.

Thanks again.

We retired out here on 2nd Feb with our 12 year old Springer Spaniel. We didn't want to fly him over so he was driven over in a pet transport van by Sharon at a company called Trans-Pet. The cost was reasonable and covered him being looked after for a total of 5 days and as we had a number of viewings arranged on our arrival they kennelled him for an additional 3 days for a small extra cost. He arrived safe, happy and was delivered to us at the time agreed. I am happy to recommend them based on our experience with them. Regards, Russ

Thanks very much for the recommendation Russ.

We've filled out their enquiry form on line, so fingers crossed they can help us.

Thanks again.

We come from Nairn (flying from Aberdeen) our dog is a Lowchen (a little bigger than your Lhaso-weighs in at 10kg) and could find no one to allow him in cabin . Even in the hold was difficult and had to fly from and to Glasgow due to pet passport checks- can't remember but don't think Edinburgh was ok.

We eventually decided on pet transport by Petz2u based in Alford. Gordon and Janette were absolutely brilliant with Sammy and he will be returning to Nairn with them this month. Would highly recommend them to you. None of the pet carriers are cheap but for a great door to door service I don't think you could do better .

Good Luck Harry and Norma

Hi Harry and Norma

Thank you so much for this.

We really don't want put her on a plane as we've heard some real horror stories, so by road would suit us best.

We'll contact Gordon and Janette at Petz2u and say you recommended them.

Thanks again.
