We went to our local Chinese last night.

Same experience as Kimmy, the paper menus on the table were there takeaway menus, but we were told we could order whatever we wanted from the main menu.

We know the menu well......the other 6 looked at one menu between them so they only had the one to clean.

3 courses, 4 bottles of wine between us and Bailey's....

.8 people 82 e.       Big tip deserved!

You know price is maybe one issue and everyone will have their own opinions about it and that's good... But to tell customers you getting draft beer, then the staff go into the kitchen and open beer from a can so the customers can't see what they doing is simply disgusting.

I cannot understand why you go thousands of kilometers away just to eat food that is served down the street from your home residence.

I have never seen an Italian family come to Spain or France and go to an Italian restaurant.

I’m sure that Italian folk living abroad will have an occasional yearning for pasta.

He's not tried mushy peas though, but, there again, I've not tried pangolin or bat soup. ( I didn't ask. Thought it was best not.😇) V

I had good fish, chips, mushy peas, steak pies, gravy etc etc here in Benidorm. After all, this is home now...

We'll, here's the gossip..!!

The exact same establishment I was posting about yesterday, the exact same people @around 19H45 tonight, delivered a take away order to a table of 4 people at a bar on the seafront... Chicken curry and not"frozen chips", still cooked in the before lock down fat fryer oil it would appear, and something else that looked like bbq sauce or something like that, in a card board box where they must have gotten their beer delivery in, and a paper bag.. Now read this...

The paper bag broke, the food fell out, the lids came off and the food ended up on the street...

That's how I know what some of the food was..

Your lady owner or sjef acting as delivery person, picked the food up from the ground, put the food back in the containers, lids back on, everything bundled in the box, and started collecting her money.. To the amusement and smiles of a few who witnessed this.. Then left the paper bag behind in the street, with all the spilled sauces for the bar owners to go and clean up..

This is unbelievable....

Ray's chippie, you certainly know how to advertise!!

I'm so sorry Ray D, and I really hope you, your family and all the people knowing you are not offended by this, but this is the name, unfortunately, of this establishment,  ... Even the owners of this establishment should not take this personal but rather learn from this and work on improving their business.... Oh God what am I saying?

Perhaps you should start eating Spanish food from Spanish owned restaurants?  Spain is not all fish & chips.

I for one don't like the typical Spanish food so i eat and pay for food i enjoy. It gets up my nose when posters say that as i live in Spain i "aught to" eat Spanish food!
