Since end of February our apartment block swimming pool has been closed , are we entitled to a reduction for this as the only things that are still operating is the concierge and part time gardener , we have our young grandchildren visiting regularly and they were so disappointed In the summer months.

That is something that you would need to take up with your Administrator and possible get put on the Agenda for your Community AGM as every Community will be different and the likelihood is that many will say that even though the pool was closed it still had to be maintained and cleaned.

Hello

Community swimming pools were not closed on a whim, it was in the lockdown restrictions of the Prime Minister that this happened for your safety during the pandemic. If the community could afford/provide people to supervise all day - social distancing, 30-50% usage & regular cleaning, disenfecting of pool & surrounding area, it was allowed to open. My urbanisation voted not to employ anyone but owners agreed take on & record  the daily tasks themselves  so it could open - each urbanisation was different, some nearby have never reopened. Our official pool cleaner still came every day at 8am

Cheers
