Regular holidays in Benidorm

Hi 

im looking to spend holidays in Benidorm starting 2021

A  flat would be great.2weeks in January and May then 3 in July or August

Hello Parker, I hope you don't mind me offering a bit of advice.
The length of the breaks you mention determine that you will be renting under a holiday let contract. It is a legal requirement that all such properties have a Tourist Licence and this means that even in January, you will be paying tourist rates even if it is cheaper than in May and certainly in July and August  and Benidorm properties attract high rates. The Tourist Licence number should be shown on any advert.
I say should because some people still flout the law and rent out illegally and you would risk being turfed out on the spot by the Guardia Civil.
Although you may get responses on the forum most owners also advertise on the main platforms such as booking.com. AirBnB still seem to have a lot of properties advertised without a licence number showing (the last time I looked) so you will need to read into that what you will.
The licence number should read something like VT 123456 A but if it is handled by an agent it may differ slightly.

Thanks so much for that info.

So now ive retired im looking for a place in Spain to visit a few times a year to relax

i like the sun and a beer a bit of swimming.

All i want is a nice clean place with a decent bathroom and bed.

ive got plenty of time to find one and if the lockdown is over i might come in September

Does it matter which area? Poneinte (old town) side or closer to Lavente side (newer area) ? 
There is lots of options. You could travel out for a week, either as a package deal or flight only and use a company such as ‘Beniconnect’ for airport transfer and something like ‘booking.com’ for accommodation. Both can be booked on-line. That way it gives you a window to visit the many agents in the area offering rentals to plan your future trips. There is other options too, many properties are available to book directly with the owners, many listed in free-ads, many apartment blocks you can book with directly. 

But decide which area you would prefer and take it from there, as you know the Benidorm resort is large and caters for all budgets.

We spend 5 to 6 months over the winter in Spain, Always around the Benidorm area  for Christmas when family fly out to join us. We always have an apartment for visiting family from a particular vendor we trust and have used for a few years, but what suits one person may not suit everyone.

The area doesnt matter really.

ill use the options you suggested with transfer and trying to find a place for myself.
