Hi Emma,
Not to be to negative but working in Benidorm is a cut throat buisness, no one works for minimum wage as the bar's and restaurants are willing to take on cheap Labour for around a Euro and hour.
My friend and I have worked as DJs for some years and witnessed some people even working for food as they pitch a tent for the season.
Bar managers aren't looking for experience only cheap staff and they can get rid at a drop of a hat. But if you do find work make sure you're paid on the night before leaving the premises.
Sorry if this sounds awful but if you want my advise make sure you don't "need" money work for the first few weeks or days and as most bars/cafes restaurants stick a sign in the window you won't find out where jobs or opportunities are until you get there.
Sean.
