We are moving to Spain later this year from UK ( husband Irish). We are self driving a small van via Bilbao. We are aware we are required to list all contents with an approximation of age and value and provide a declaration that goods are not for resale but personal use . Contents will be personal effects, small items of furniture, clothes nothing new or of any significant value

Is there anything else we are required to do from a customs perspective ?Has anyone doNe this recently or in past couple of years or had similar experience

We moved last year and just listed everything with removal company, we also drove our car with items we didn’t won’t to get damaged. No check at U.K. customs by French, drive straight through into Spain.

So pleased we brought our belongings as furniture, electrical items very expensive here compared to U.K.
