I think that you will find they are all more or less the same ground rents. Some will charge more depending on if they have more facilities. You need to decide what you want on a site first then work from that.

Do you intend to buy this caravan to live in permanently or just for holidays?

Are you a UK passport holder?

Here’s some information on the popular sites in Benidorm, a little out of date so you will need to contact the sites for up to date costs but it will give you a good idea about the sites

Also some up to date info from on Villamar

Hi Steve. Thanks for the info. I'm a UK passport holder but my wife has an Irish passport. We would initially have it for holidays but if would like to live here permanent in the future. Cheers Steve

Thats good news about the Irish passport as it will be so easy for you both. Hope you find what suits you best. All the camp sites here in Benidorm are excellent.

Haven’t I often read on here, in various replies to similar queries, that by the time all the ancillary expenses are factored in, it can be cheaper to get a small apartment?

Yes that is very true. When we first moved to Benidorm years ago we looked at camp sites but soon found some apartments were cheaper and more central. We have a nice modern 2 bedroom apartment on the outskirts of the Rincon area and love it here. Ten minutes walk to the beach and 25 minutes walk away from the old town.

Some of the campsites are getting very cramped and privacy is more difficult.

Just for thought it can often be cheaper for an apartment and private because you aren't sharing communal showers like some sites. My mate lives on Vilamar and its 450 amonth for ground fees plus bills and in my opinion theres no privacy. I would recommend visiting each one and seeing what best suits you but if it's for permanent residence I would always recommend an apartment
