Well to be honest, I actually went to a farmicia local to me and in my broken Spanish asked for/about hand sanitizers, disposable gloves and face mask, the response I got was very similar to yours but with a very big No and that was the only thing said to me in the reply, but overall I feel the Spanish people in general are always helpful.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

I am home learning at present via the internet, but I must say cutting a long story short, this happened to me the first week in March, well before the state of alarm was declared, the reason for this, my wife was flying back to the uk and was worried about getting on the flight then, There was no big signs in the windows at this time, as said in my previous post I feel the Spanish people are helpful and not like some brits I have come to know! Have a good evening and stay safe.

Hand Gel Sanitiser is now ,once more, available from most UK Pharmacies

Hopefully the Spanish system will soon catch up with the UK system.

LeckyLes, ?

"Here in the UK, just a few days ago only one seller seemed to have any in stock. A 500ml bottle was priced at £30 (€35) - at least 10 times what it would have been in February. It's since been reduced to £20, but that is still about seven times pre-pandemic prices"

Villas ,fake news abounds and media stories are not always reliable. Hand Sanitiser is available in Boots Chemists and many others, it is naturally restricted to two small bottles per customer, less than £1 per bottle.

Once again, well done the UK system.

Thanks Les. I´ll make my way to Gibraltar, my nearest outlet (permitted travel exception pos?).

& when did "media stories are not always reliable" be included under the heading of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Thanks Les.

A friend went to the chemist this week to buy a face mask for covid-19 protection. Annoyingly, they´d sold out, but the lady serving, told the customer to try Boots instead. My friend probably looks rather stupid, but will not take any chances!
