My vet has prescribed Galliprint 100mg for my dogs arthritis and it’s costing 104 euros for a months supply. She is likely to be on this for the rest of her life. Does anyone know where I can buy this online cheaper? I know I will need to get a prescription from my vet. Unfortunately U.K. companies cannot supply it to me as we are now out of the EU.

Hi, I don't have a pet so not much of a help there, but I have often read of people taking their vet,s prescription (or actual medication box) to their local pharmacy and got the identical medication (prescribed for humans) for a fraction of vet,s cost. Maybe worth a try.

I can vouch for that, our dog needs eyedrops, which we get from the Pharmacy for a lot less than a Vet would charge.

I have noticed that here in Spain they don't seem to carry the same number of drugs as Vets do in the UK, just the usual vaccinations that all dogs need each year, anti inflammatory etc. Anthing else we have been told to get from a Pharmacy.

Hi

I use metacam for my 9 year old German Shepherd, we call it a wonder drug as it works straight away and her mobility is that of a 2 year old. I bought it from the farmacia no prescription required. Google the difference between the 2 medications and discuss with your vet. Hope you get sorted

Our dog has really bad arthritis but our vet likes to use alternative medicines as well as Metacam. We give her 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric powder with one of her meals, this is about €5 and lasts a couple of months, vitamin B complex with her breakfast, which is around €19 for €60 tablets and 1/2 a dose of metacam. Our vet in the UK had her on Loxicom which is the equivalent, this was no longer enough to help with her pain. When she has flare ups we also give her CBD oil. She is doing really well with these. Hope this helps.

We've had some success with our elderly arthritic cat using 'YuMove' sprinled on his food daily.
