I'm staying in the Benijofar area for 5 months and I'm looking for a place to train on a casual basis on a pay as you train basis. I have transport and don't mind travelling as long as its not miles away

I don't know about your immediate area, but there are municipal sports centres with good gyms at Almoradi and Callosa de Segura. I don't know about the payment setup at Almoradi, but at Callosa you can pay as you go or, better, get a ticket for a number of visits (a bono).

And if you cycle there, you'll lose even more weight!

The Ciudad Deportiva in Torrevieja (near the swimming pool) may be an option. It certainly allows Pay As You Train (not sure of the cost per visit) but you can also get a 'season ticket' at a cost of 30€ for 3 months. Facilities there include the usual range of treadmills, cross trainers etc plus a pretty comprehensive range of weights machines and free weights.

Geoff

I will be going over there later today and will try to find out the cost on a Pay as You Train basis....One word of caution. Friday morning is a VERY bad day to go there as the Torrevieja market is held in that area and it is pretty chaotic and parking is a nightmare.

Thanks Tony I go out biking on a Friday morning but will go along when I'm along that way and look around. If you get the price on the meantime it would give me an idea of costeoporosis thanks again

Cost is 3€ per visit.  As this needs to be put into a machine to get a ticket you would need coins. Also sports bags aren't allowed into the gym. There are lockers but you would need a padlock.

Anything else you want to know...just ask.
