Hi everyone were not yet residents but are frequent visitors to our villa (not over 183 days).

We want to bring our car from England to use in spain. anyone got any advice on how practical or difficult it is?

Can i do this?

What insurance do i need?

How hard is it to register an english vehicle in spain?

Thanks in advance for any help

Plenty of information already on the forum, Sue, so do a bit of digging.

You can use a UK registered car for up to six months in a year without re-registering, as long as it is fully road legal. You just need European breakdown cover on your policy, and confirmation from your insurers that they cover an extended stay here.

If you want to import it and leave it here, have a look at the expert's website, which has tons of information:

If you send Graham or Leigh details, they'll tell you what their charge would be.

That's strange, and I hope they haven't packed up. I know Graham intended to retire, but was told that Leigh would carry on.

I've checked the landline number and that's unobtainable, but the mobile number rings out.

You could try 966 75 33 75 or 605 31 98 89, which were the numbers I originally had for Graham.

If the online message system isn't working, have you tried emailing [email protected]?

As a follow on from the above, I've been in contact with both Leigh and Graham and they're very much still in business. Graham did try to retire, but Leigh was so busy that Graham had to go back to work again.
