Hola.

Me and the Mrs are due to fly out to our place in Cabo Roig on the 24th April. Obviously this is on of the intended ground staff strike days at Alicante airport. I can't seem to get much info via the web as to if this is just "sabre rattling" or a full on strike. Anybody in the know?

Cheers.

Taken from local News Sources, the strike is off but flights appear to be still cancelled, all very confusing.

"EASTER TRAVEL CHAOS IN SPAIN AVOIDED AFTER PILOT STRIKE CALLED OFF
But technical difficulties mean the hundreds of flights that were cancelled ahead of expected walkouts will remain so
A STRIKE by pilots in Spain has been called off after a last minute deal avoided chaos for Easter travellers.

Air Nostrum pilots called off their strike after a compromise was reached between the Spanish regional airline and the national pilots union, Sepla.

But technical difficulties mean the hundreds of flights that were cancelled ahead of expected walkouts will remain so.

Though the airline has said flights on April 22-24 will now operate as normal, this comes as millions of Spaniards look to travel over Semana Santa."

Update on news of strike action.

HANDLER STRIKE TO AFFECT ALL OF SPAIN STARTING EASTER SUNDAY
Travellers are urged to contact their flight operators
SPANISH airport handlers have confirmed plans for a mass walkout over the upcoming Easter weekend.

The strike action by 60,000 staff will affect all airports in the country and could cause delays, and even cancellations, for millions of travellers.

The four-day walkout over pay and working conditions is expected to start on Easter Sunday and could continue until Wednesday, April 24

Nearly 5 million travellers on 32,500 flights are scheduled to pass through Spanish airports over the holiday weekend,

An easyJet spokesperson told the Evening Standard: “Due to ground handling strike action taking place in Spanish airports from 21st to 24th April, easyJet, like all airlines, is expecting some disruption to its flying programme.”

All passengers flying to and from Spain should check with their flight operator"
