You need an antigen test before you leave Spain and you also need to show that you´ve pre-booked your day 2 and day 8 tests to allow re-entry into the UK:

In Spain, you can get the antigen test for around €40; hopefully, someone in your location can recommend a specific provider - some pharmacies do them and also IMED clinics:

Me and my husband go back to the UK on the 25th June, fly at 10.55am.  When do I need to book my Covid Test also don't know yet whether I will need the day 2 and 8 whilst in the UK.  Can you give me some advice.

Hi Jeanie,

You need to have an Antigen test no more than 72 hours before you leave Spain, so not before 10.55am on Tuesday 22 June, but don't leave it to the last minute as you need to allow time to get your test results.  There have been several similar posts in the last couple of weeks with recommendations of where to get a test.

You also need to pre-book your day 2 and day 8 tests before you leave Spain, as the purchase confirmation reference needs to be added to your Passenger Locator Form before leaving Spain.  You need to quarantine on your return for 10 days, although there is an option to do a further test on day 5 if you don't want to quarantine for the full 10 days - all the details are on the Gov.UK website:

Hi,  If you don’t get a response of a clinic close to Quesada, The Virgin of Pilar Clinic in Pilar de la Horadada do the Antigen tests for round about 35/39 Euros.

You can also get an Antigen test at the pharmacy in El Raso, off the Lemon Tree Road (Plaza La Higuera 1 Urbanizacion, 03140 El Raso).  They´re open Monday to Friday 9.00am - 2.00pm and 4.30pm - 8.30pm, and on Saturdays 9.00am - 1.30pm.  I don´t know whether you still have to make an appointment, so best to call them first: 965 727 207.
