Looking to move over and was told need to get NIE Number plus a Long Term Working Visa. Went onto a Spanish site last night where you can get answers from seemingly a Solicitor and she replied saying if you get a Working Visa they will supply the NIE Number then, is this correct or not?

Thank you

Yes I agree that will most likely be the case.

Here is a link to the various visas that apply to Spain:

You will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements.

Yes this is correct. Are you an EU national? Perhaps an Irish passport holder?

If UK passport holder then rules are a little more complicated.

Trouble is to get a work visa means being offered a job by a Spanish employer who will then apply for a visa for you.

To offer a job an employer will have to show that the position cannot be filled firstly by a Spanish national and then other EU citizen.

Unless highly specialsed that's a high bar to cross.
