Hello Ray, google maps is very helpful for things like this, you can zoom in, trace routes for distances, find bus stops, supermarkets, restaurants and then do street view to wander around at will. If you have a look it will really depend whereabouts in Lomas for distances and if you have a car then you can be in the thick of things within minutes.

No probs Ray.

Lomas de Cabo Roig is far enough from what can, at times, be the mayhem of Cabo Roig Strip, and the beach, yet still within walking distance and a mere couple of minutes drive away from it, a local bus service is also in operation.

The same distance travelling in the other direction is La Fuenta with its Commercial Centre containing many  facilities Inc. Bars and  Restaurants ,plus a couple of Supermarkets, one being  a newly built Aldi store.

So too within similar walking  or driving  distance is La Zenia complete with all the facilities including Supermarkets plus the Boulevard complex including Leroy Merlin who are similar to b&q.

Not too far away is also The VillaMartin Plaza

Lomas de Cabo Roig itself has this year gained it's own new Commercial Centre ,which although far from fully Let yet is promising to  be a great, local asset, with several new Restaurantss already trading well .

Also, this year, the Overseas Brjtish Supermarket chain have opened up a store . They specialise in Iceland and Waitrose products

Added to this are many long established bars and Restaurants, including a traditional Irish pub.

A local Community Centre, crazy golf and Garden Centre are also within the local vicinity.

Hope that helps.

It’s a fairly long walk to the strip, about 15 mins. Taxis are usually in short supply late at night so walking back might be the only option. Yes there are bars in Lomas but nothing compared to the variety of the strip. Same problem when going to the beach.

Hello Ray, if you are not planning to have a car out here it might be an idea to "walk the walk". If it is from the beach, weighed down with belongings in the searing heat, possibly with some shopping picked up on the way back, it may feel a lot longer than 15 minutes. The same with the supermarkets and bars. There is also getting to and from the airport with your cases. These are subjects which come up often, the lack of taxis and buses and the cost of taxis from either airport.
As Les says, everything is within reach but only you will be able to determine if it is do-able.

My advice would be to rent in the area, even if only for a week or two, without a car, and give it a trial run.
