Hi I am looking at moving to Cabo Roig in the near future and looking at the options and the best way of doing this I am from the uk and ready to retire very soon I am of Irish descent and can apply for an Irish passport and that would give me more flexibility but my wife and kids have no Irish claims so not sure how this would affect the family when I come over any advise would be great thanks shaun

Hi Shaun,

As an Irish passport holder, you can apply for Spanish residency as an EU citizen.  Your wife and children can then apply as Third Country National (i.e. Non-EU) family dependants of an EU citizen:

Kind regards,

Kim
