Hi I am wanting to find out some information about hiring a car I am stopping at a friends apartment in Cabo and wanted to pick up a hire car from Alicante airport use the car for a week and then drop back off at the airport most of the rental companies want a security deposit in the region of €1100-€1700 is this normal and is ther any way I can hire a car without having to have this kind of deposit available
Totally normal and pretty much standard practice across the industry.
You can avoid it by paying for the hire company's full insurance.

Reccomend wiber rent a car, they do a all inclusive rate where you dont have to leave deposit

It's a bit quiet this month. Bog Road is probably the best. There is a nice little bar down by cabo roig beach near the big tower called El Faro. Nice couple run it. As for food Panache and No 5 on the strip are good. Chinese is cheap.
