Hi

We came to Spain a few weeks ago to look at properties in El Campello which we loved.  The only properties within our budget were very dated or on a steep hill.

My cousin has just recently moved to Castalla and he's in laws live on Castalla International upon visiting him and his in laws (we hadn't considered inland previously) and really liked the area and houses.

Could anyone please tell me if there is a Taxi service or Bus route from Castalla International and if the weather is much colder then the coast in the winter?

I also have an 11 year and wondered if there was enough for children to do?

Don't know if you already learned more about Castalla since augustus last year. But will still answer some of your questions...

Yes, its colder in the winter. We even had a nice pack of snow this year. Exceptional but yeah it can be cold.

Castalla is a small town with all the facilities you need for a family with children. Schools, shops, a 2-weekly market, internet (Marucom), taxi service, bars (several run by expats), restaurants etc. and only half an hour drive to the nearest beach, Alicante town or the airport.

In the summer temperatures can be soaring but due the lower humidity is it bearable and the night are usually much cooler. And the area is soo much greener. Perfect for hiking, cycling or just enjoying the views.

Hope this was to your help.

Hi Rudy

Thank you for your reply. When I posted my post back in August we were still unsure which area we wanted to purchase a property.  We have since been back to CL a couple of times and stayed for a week in October and decided this was the area we wanted to purchase a property as we found the area very friendly and people very helpful.

We found a property in November and Hopefully complete soon.

Am I correct in thinking you are the internet provider for the area and if so could you please tell me if you provide Internet for short periods at a time? If so could you please supply information or a website address.

Kind regards

Jane
