Could anyone tell me if I need to have a recent Padron to exchange green residencia card for the new TIE card? I have an appointment booked for the 13 May 2021 which I  booked on the 26 April 2021.  I have been into Catral Ayuntamiento today and discovered that we now have to make an appointment online to renew the Padron.   I have been on their booking system only to find next available appointments are for July 2021.

We took our padron, mind you it was last year, and I cannot remember if he even looked at it, but things change every time.  I’m sure they are not interested in the date of the old one, so long as the address is the same.   However, I would go back to Town Hall with proof of your appt. for TIE and state you require a new padron and explain re the delay in appointment. I’m hopeful they will oblige.

You definitely do need an up to date padron, ie less than 3 months old, if you cannot get one easily, try your nearest ex pat centre, they got ours within days, but you do have to pay. Good luck.

Our gestor said we did not need to take a new pardon to exchange for a TIE as our address had not changed and the exchange was straightforward.

Hi

I can concur with this information. I exchanged my Residencia card last month for the TIE and a did not need an up to date Padron.

Hi.

If the address on your green residency is the same as where you live now you don't need a padron. If you have moved then you do.

Hope this helps

Many thanks for the clear instructions on the forum for exchanging green residencia card to the TIE Card. We have successfully done this ourselves and we did not require a padron as we had not changed our address.
