I am looking for some health insurance companies who can provide health cover which is acceptable for a Spanish residency application.

If anyone has experience and can recommend any companies which will cover persons living in Caudete in particular, I would be grateful for any information you have.

Regards

Foxy

Are you in receipt of State Pension in the UK?

HI John thanks for your reply.

I am looking specifically for companies who provide private health cover regardless of S1 cover.

Thanks.

DKV are very good. They cover you for everything. Assa were very expensive and don't cover as much.

I am with DKV plus I have full access to the Spanish health service via the S1. DKV have been very good for me.

Just to confuse the issue I would highly recommend ASSSA. My wife and I were with DKV but their year on year increases were ridiculous and communication was far from straightforward.

We found the ASSSA cover more than adequate, with a premium which basically remains the same for the life of the policy.

...

ASSA were more expensive than both DKV and Sanitas and don't offer everything. They stated that openly to me and they were €200 more a year. The main providers are both Sanitas and DKV. For me the price difference was about €50.

I found Sanitas just a little bit too pushy, they were always calling and wouldn't get off the phone so I chose DKV because she was lovely and let me choose my own policy in my own time. I had also been recommended ASSA and the girl was very nice aswel and she said they do put the price up annually every company does depending on how your health is but for me at €200 more that even if DKV put my price up its still cheaper.

But its each to their own I can only give my recommendation.
