Why should British immigrants in Spain be treated differently to any other nationality?

There are reserves of oil and gas in the North Sea, and farther afield, but the costs of harnessing them are prohibitive. The market is volatile and the Saudis effectively control the market. American companies have the greatest experience in exploiting oil fields, e.g. previous North Sea boom in the seventies, but they are subject to the petrodollar which again is controlled by the Saudis. Land based deposits, shale gas, extracted by "fracking" this is a deeply unpopular and potentially unsafe practice. This has only been approved by Government due to their individual vested interests.

A dwelling should never be considered as an investment, there are no guarantees on it's value, hence why some who have bought now find the return is less than they originally paid. If you want to sell something then market forces rule.

I am a British immigrant in Spain by choice, nobody made me come here. I voted to remain in the EU, but I have to live with the consequences of the "majority" vote in the referendum.

Spain owes me nothing...why should it?

I don't know what you are talking about!  Yes there are a lot of properties for sale on La Marina but they are also being sold at good prices, certainly not half of what people paid for them!  Get your facts right before you start writing such rubbish!

This has to be a joke? The level of intellect is only matched by the quality of the spelling,  "Qusader" and British towns lol!

The cost of property in La Marina has risen in the last twelve months, strange that if they aren't selling.

I suggest you should concentrate on finding a course on English and grammar.

Yet another scaremonger, europe will collapse, the brits will be hounded out of europe, planes will drop from the skies and aliens will invade earth????  Nobody knows  what will happen from next March, but that is why both sides are trying to hammer out an agreement that is suitable to all parties. All the EU countries will wish to carry on trading to an extent but it must be beneficial to all parties involved. Unfortunately, whether you agree with Brexit or not, the decision has been made, lets encourage everybody to now get behind the plan, so that after the parting, we can get on with our lives and hopefully stabilise our economies sooner rather than later.
