There’s a lot of hatred simmering just below the surface.Very sad,and it’s a good job our Spanish hosts don’t on the whole feel the same about us as immigrants,legal or otherwise.For the people saying sink the boats etc you do realise you are actually encouraging murder??Not big or clever.

Brexit has turned out not to be a level playing field, and a massive mistake for people with property in spain,we had it so good before,but its to late now and will never be the same again.

They was restrictions,but you could please your self what you did,for example i stayed a year and a half with the pandemic to sit it out.but when brexit came in in jan 2021 i think i had to leave after 90 days,has you will be clocked in and out .

Why was it a ridiculous comment, its likely true. The number of Brits who now stay and work without authorization would make sense to be higher as prior it was part of freedom of movement. As for english, what he said was true. As he has a Spanish name we can assume he is Spanish, so he calls Brits illegal immigrants while he infers Brits call themselves expats. Completely appropriate use of english.
