Property survey

Hi, when purchasing a Spanish property is it usual practice to have a survey carried out? If so, can anyone recommend a reliable company that will prepare the report in English. Thanks

We didn't, but we paid cash. If your mortgaging it may be a condition of the loan.
I walked around the property looked for any obvious defects. Asked neighbours what the age of the property was, the previous land use and whether they had any structural issues like.
This was enough for me
Don Aluminio Building and Reformation do them and are reasonably price they give a report with photographs which for the money was quite detailed we have had a lot worse for a lot of money in the UK. I have attached a link with other recommendations.
