I NEED A FULLY QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO INSPECT A NUMBER OF DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL ITEMS LIKE A FRIDGE FREEZER, TWO TELEVISIONS AND SATELLITE RECORDER/ RECEIVERS, PLUS A NUMBER OF OTHER ITEMS. THIS IS IN ORDER TO PROCESS A HOUSE INSURANCE CLAIM RESULTING FROM A POWER SURGE. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE?

Was yours the only property affected? If not, you should be able to claim directly from your electricity supplier. In our case, following an area power surge caused by a defective local sub-station, a man from Iberdrola called on us without being prompted, and our repair costs were met without having to provide quotes or reports from anyone.

These items mentioned do not form part of the fixed Electrical Installation at your property and will thus only require a Portable Appliance Certificare of Inspection and Testing.
