Help finding car window Stickers for tinted windows

I assume your car is on Spanish plates, in which case the tinted windows should have been dealt with as part of the transfer procedure.

If it isn't on Spanish plates, then there's no point in getting an ITV.

If you've had the windows tinted after transferring to Spanish plates, then that can only be legally done by an approved company, in which case it's them you need to contact.

No the car is on English plates and I am in the process of transferring it to Spanish plates - registering it for the first time in Spain as my personal import.  The Gestor sent me to the ITV for matriculacion inspection.  This was the only fault.  They have given the result as Desfavorable with a GRAVE classification.

The guy at ITV said get some stickers for the windows or remove the tint...

Any advice would be extremely welcome.

You're doing the right thing, Vicky, but your gestor should have spotted it. I really don't know what to suggest, as your car obviously doesn't at the moment comply with Spain/EU regulations.

There are only two things you can do, and those are to remove the tinting, assuming it's a film that has been applied, or to find an authorised company who do tinting and ask them to certify it. I wasn't aware of the need for labels, but I suppose it's an easy way to inform the ITV station that the job has been done properly.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any authorised installers, and just hope that someone in your area does know.
