I recently ordered something on Ebay for the first time (30/1) and the product was meant to be delivered today...(after a long exchange of emails with Ebay).... I got multiple confirmation emails from SEUR since yesterday telling me it was being delivered today.... So I'm at home waiting...and when I go online to track they say it's 'already delivered'??

Anyone else have had this problem? I see SEUR is a subsidiary of DPD which I know well from France...and where I've had similar issues - things flung over walls, not delivered, websites tracking not correct etc....

needless to say I've contacted the seller who has been extremely professional in all of this and now Ebay...but must admit this is my first time ordering and so far haven't been impressed...I'd be interested in other people's experiences!

thanks!

Think yourself lucky  it wasn't Hermes who use correous express here , absolute disaster , and if you buy  anything off ebay  and it comes thro   Global postal  service [ PITNEY BOWES ] , don't expect it to arrive within a month , p/bowes and paypal take 15% of the postal charge , takes 10 days  to process and   repack your goods  and then send it by donkey ……..!!

Oh dear God... it's worse than I thought!! It's with GPS.  I launched a thing on ebay telling them that it wasn't delivered... and I get a message (all in Spanish) telling me that it HAS been delivered and I won't be reimbursed!!!  I am now contacting Paypal and see with them.. if not I'll wait til I go back to Paris and get some legal advice...this was my first and only purchase on ebay.. This was via W/N from the UK and then SEUR/DPD. Unfortunately I've had problems with DPD in Paris already before.. they often update their tracking to fit into their schedule. I don't necessarily blame the delivery guys they often have impossible things to deliver in one day...but it's the structure/system which is fundamentaly at faultt - especially when you are paying for delivery. Well so much for that, but I want my 270euros back for this nightmare!!

So it seems that delivery/courrier services here are even worse than in France!!  I've already contacted the seller to say I want to be reimbursed... this is just a holiday home here, and I'm going back home next week and I don't want to have to spend my time cross-checking every contradictory message from SEUR/Ebay etc... ah well will just have to do with the skybox to watch Freesat!! I'm done with ebay!!

thanks for the advice...will be duly noted... !

I order quite a few things from Ebay, from various countries, and also from Amazon.es. I've never had a problem with deliveries, whether it's been Seur, MRW or someone else.

I have occasionally intercepted the tracking and redirected packages to local offices of the couriers, so I don't have to wait in for a delivery.

The main thing to do is to include your telephone number with your address details, so a courier who can't find your house can ring you. You can then either give him directions or, as I do, arrange to meet him at a convenient location.

I have only twice had deliveries due via SEUR and both times waited in all day, only to find out that their drivers had reported that they could not gain access to the building in which I live.   We have a video entry system and each time no-one had attempted to contact me via the entry system.   Therefore, to my mind at least, some of their drivers tell lies.

thanks have just been told by Ebay that I have to report a theft to the local police!!! As I don't live here permanently and we just recently bought, that should be fun.. I'm not impressed with the reaction from Ebay as I already filed a case this morning and they closed it???

I did all as you say, but they have wrongly indicated that they 'left' a note yesterday trying to deliver it,...despite the fact that they sent me an email last night saying it was being delivered today.. the fact that I have to now go off to the police station tomorrow and deal with this is something I am not happy about...

I've had similar problems in France with DPD... I tend to print out the tracking at different times as even the French postal service tend to 'modify' their tracking to suit their version of events..it's just crazy and I'm just not up to dealing with all of this hassle after an already tiring week of dealing with Spanish workers!  thanks for letting me know that it's worse than I thought!!

yes I had a similar incident in December... supposedly they couldn't find us...turns out that they'd damaged the products and the company had to resend the whole thing a week later...

I get the feeling that SEUR is linked to DPD as I've had similar experiences in Paris.  I've literally been looking out the window at the van arrive and they fling the package over a 2 meter gate.... Can't say this has made me particularly enthusiastic to buy more stuff on Ebay...would have stuck with another 'website' but they no longer delivered to France!
