Hi there, I'm trying to place an order with Ikea for delivery as well as assembly.. Somehow, I don't know why I can't find the option to add 'assembly' to the order. Does anyone know how to do this? Think hubby would prefer if Ikea assembled the stuff rather than him! Thanks for any advice !!

We have recently had a large sofa delivered and tried to find an assembly option. I discovered that this is not yet available online. However, I understand that it is available if you go to the store and order there. HTH.

Thanks Brian that's what I discovered too.. but the whole point of ordering online for me was to avoid going to the shop!! Could you tell me how quick they were with the delivery? Just wondering if I order this week would it be delivered next week?? If not I'll wait til later in the year.. thanks!

Delivery was very quick - three days for me. You can choose your delivery date towards the end of the process. HTH.

Thanks Brian can also confirm that they delivered within 3 days..and about 1.5 hours earlier than the 'slot'..so just as well I was in the house early!!
Definitely saves the hassle of having to go there..

I'm pleased that it worked for you. I've also found Carrefour reliable for furniture delivery, but it can take up to 10 working days.

Yes well I found out that Carrefour and Alcampo use the same delivery company... one of the guys remembered delivery the washing machine last year.. I also had problems with Conforama last year so I avoid them since!! They're also closing down lots of stores in France... Yes you have to adapt a bit to delivery timetables here: saying that Correos delivered very early and it was just as well that I was in!! I suppose we can never be happy!!
