Greetings,

The family owns an apartment and my late father's name is currently on the account at SUMA to pay the IBI. After his death the names on the Escritura are now in my mother's, my brother's and mine. I would like to change my late father's name to my name for the IBI and was told that it can only be done at the Cadestra office. I have to complete a form called  Modelo 900D with my details and provide copies of my NIE, passport and Escritura. As there are 3 names in the Escritura, should I also include photocopies of their NIE numbers and passports? I assume the Cadastre Office informs SUMA of the name change and what happens about the direct debit payments? The bank account details will remain the same as I am the co - named on the bank account. (It was a joint account in my parents' names and I added my name to it a few years ago.) I was thinking of  including a copy of a  receipt from the bank which shows my name, NIE number and bank account number with the paperwork I'm handing over. I'll also include a covering letter explaining that the banking details will not be changing. Was told that the process will take 6 months.

Would really appreciate your help on these matters.
