Can anyone help, we have tried agents to no avail.
We are couple in our 70's looking for a long term rent in El Campello.
We would like a 1-2 bedroomed preferably new/nearly new furnished property in a quiet area of El Campello in close proximity of amenities or on a local bus route.
We are non-smokers and have no pets.

Hi.
my wife and I have been here for 14 months renting it is very difficult to get long term rental as the owners receive more rental income in June, July and August You could try Airbnb for long time rental. Most estate agents in El Campello only do sales. Wishing you best of luck it is a lovely place.

Have you tried Lee at Sundrenched Villas or Tim at Eden Casas Alicante ? Both are based in El Campello and work with English speaking clients. They are estate agents and I don't think they do rentals.

I assume you didn't try the website Iink I sent you in an earlier post. I have just searched on it and there are at least 179 properties for rent ranging in price from €790 to €3000 per month. Estate agents will not be the answer to your search as they have a limited number of properties, therefore I do recommend you look here:

I agree with the suggestion you use idealista for your search.
I'm a bit concerned that you're looking to move to El Campello but are asking for suggestions about the best area to suit your needs.
I suggest that you use air bnb to find short term rental in the town and use the time here to explore the area and talk to agents. That way you can identify the parts of the town that interest you before plunging into a long term commitment.
