Good evening all. I am currently here in beautiful El Campello and need to visit this doctor tomorrow. I have the start of a kidney infection and will need antibiotics as I forgot to bring mine from home. Can anyone advise me on how much money to take with me for this service please. A rough idea. Many thanks.
Don't you have an E11 card? Gives you access to the Spanish health system.

Yes I do have the card . I wasn’t aware I can use that anywhere. ??

Simply give the card to the receptionist. E111 is still valid - no charge. A prescription however is a charge - the prescription will feature the price of the drug and its discounted amount you pay, which is 10% of that price.

You are welcome. I had a kidney issue here a couple if years ago and was very well looked after. St Juan Hospital. Clinic in El Campello excellent too.
