Hi Do you have to be an official resident to apply for a Tarjeta Dorada discount rail card?

I think so, we had to show our TIE cards at the station ticket counter when we bought ours.
No, my brother got his with his UK passport. My husband and myself got ours with our TIE cards.

Thanks. I take it TIE card is the residence ID card
