As a  long time  resident of El Raso i am shocked at what i see being built on the Urbanisation.

The present ones being built resemble  prison blocks, Who is going to want to live in them?

Hard to work out exactly which complex you mean as there’s currently  6 or 7 different  “blocks” under construction.

I presume you’ve been the latest ones by salisol?  Not walked that way for a week and didn’t really spot how far they’d got, but the plans look good as it’s got its own little cafe area etc. Will go for a walk in the morning

The apartments built by Contrimar (Oasis Beach 14-14-16 ) Area  Beach 1/2 and Vista Azul are beautiful inside and all have their own excellent amenities  I know there’s going to be a heated indoor pool at Vista Azul, a great selling point,  which is probably the reason why the vast majority have already been purchased., even though the first ones won’t be ready until June.  If you haven’t been inside the apartments, they all have show homes open.

The new builds look much better than the overgrown waste land that used to be at the bottom of the urb.

On the subject of overgrown land, from the maintenance work that’s been carried out  this past week or so, looks like the recreation area in the middle of the urb is finally taking shape. Even the gardening work on the roundabouts has started earlier than normal this year

I agree with you, the land was always going to be built on, and it looks better than the wasteland it was before.

If there are going to be cafes it will be great for the people at that end, it's a long walk up to the bars and restaurants at the top of the urbanization.

There’s already a bar/restaurant/pizzeria open in the “Oasis Center” . It’s been open for over 12 months now- (it used to be a food truck) . The other units have finally been put up for sale, hopefully  they’ll open soon., as that commercial centre has been empty for far too long. Most of the restaurants have been built with rooftop terraces, so I’m sure with the beautiful lake views, they’ll become very popular.

On the subject of bars/restaurants it looks as though whatever the dispute was with the old Jennings Bar at the front of the urbanisation has now been resolved  as the building is finally up for sale.

Yes, I know about the pizzeria.

It would be great if the other commercial units are bought, especially for people living at that end.
