Thanks all - one of the areas I was looking at is around Avenida Chapi so good to hear that it’s nice around there. I was also told that the areas around Plaza Castlear, El Campet, San Jeronimo were ok/good.
Appreciate all the feedback - feel free to add anything else you think is worthwhile

Thanks all for your posts concerning Elda/Petrer location; they are really helpful to us.
We will shortly buy an apartment near El Campet, our abogado (lives in Alicante) informed us that this area is a nice middle class are, very respectable, which was encouraging to hear as she is very familiar with the area; she and her family visit the area of El Cid for recreational purposes. Hope this is of help

The apartment is in Petrer and it is for a permanent move later in the year or a bit earlier if everything gets sorted - Covid & Brexit have been the cause of delays with appointments on the Spanish side of things but our abogado is excellent and she is working through the challenges.
We look forward to posting from Petrer before the end of the summer...:)

Hi Jackie: we are purchasing as a permanent home. We plan to complete the purchase process by this summer with a relocation timeframe towards the end of 2021. Thanks for your good wishes. R
