I’m in conversation with Gran Alacant TV (Astro Networks) about internet service provision.  The deal isn’t switch on/off, but works out at around €13/mth on an 18 mth contract.  I wondered if anyone had experience of using them?

I'd be interested in anyones experience as well. Currently using a mobile sim for internet usage and its ok but not brilliant. What speed do they offer for €13 a month? Do you have a contact for GATV? Thanks.

No contract yet, but should have in a couple of weeks when we are back out there.  They are quoting 20 Mbps upload and sown

Thanks. For info I have a data sim from Telefonica which is €10 per month. Depending on where you are in GA will affect speed but on average I get 24Mbs (4g). The set up I have uses a Huawei AI Smart Cube wifi router which uses the sim card (has Alexa built in) that I bought from CeX in the UK for £29 https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=6901443310180b&categoryName=smart-assistant&superCatName=electronics&title=huawei-ai-cube-smart-speaker-4g-router-%28alexa-enabled%29-unlocked-b&referredFrom=boxsearch&queryID=d3c143a782c0c8c5100f559335ea0682&position=2

The sim is a 30 day rolling (pay-as-you-go) service. It works well and I have access to my Ring cameras through it from the UK.

May be worth spending the £29 and take it out with you when you go? Switch your mobile roaming to Telefonica when you get to your place so you can check signal and speed and if this is ok you can purchase the telefonica sim from the computer shop in main GA shopping area. If the signal is rubbish you can always sell the Huawei AI cube when you get back or just leave it there as an Alexa smart speaker connected to your new Astro Networks wifi
