Hi mike there is a local bus service that is a circular bus in the summer it it roughly every 20 mins it will take you and your family down to the beach. You can save a few euros by purchasing whats called a Bono 10 that's 10 trips at reduced price. Places to go you can get a coach to Benidorm for the day,it picks you up at the bus stop at the GA centre 10 euros return each. Restaurants there are lots and all good.Hope it's helpful if you need any more info when you arrive don't hesitate to ask cheers Cathy t

Hi, there is loads of transport in Gran Alacant - the circular bus, the little tourist train and buses into Santa Pola and Alicante.  Restaurants are too numerous too mention but for a good home cooked meal with no frills you can't go wrong with Aquarius upstairs in the Carbassi row of restaurants.  You will also find Molly Malone's there - good all day breakfast and great chat from the 'Scouser'.  Lots of little gems all round GA. My husband and I moved here in November last year and love it, people are so friendly.   Hope you enjoy your stay here and anything at all we can help with please just ask.

Bobbie
