Hi Alison,

You can't change an NIE to a TIE, your NIE is your foreigners number and unique tax identifier.  Do you mean exchanging a green Certificate of Registration for a TIE?  If so, I've written a step-by-step guide of how to do it yourself for €12, or you can get a gestor to help you for around €100.

Kind regards,

Kim

Okey-dokes.  I've just noticed that your location is showing as Villamartin, but you're asking for a gestor in Hondón, so have you recently moved?  I don't know any gestors in Hondón, but I can recommend one local to me, who may be able to help, but do make it clear to her what your transport difficulties are:

Uma Sanz

Get Legal in Spain

Uma is the business owner and the person I've previously dealt with, although she has a colleague, Alison, who deals with TIES, who I haven't met.

Kind regards,

I would recommend Expat Services in La Zenia.

Hi Kim, 100 Eu sounds exorbitant? Our local friendly Gestor charged us 20 Eu each, including all the paperwork and arranging appointments. Plus bank fees for official forms, 12 Eu each.
