Morning I have not been to LaFinca for a few years.  I really liked the hotel and golf  but the commercial centre was a bit quiet.  Has it picked up at all and what is the area like?  Appreciate will be subjective opinions but all.pros and cons welcome as thinking of possible purchase in couple of years and like the look of some of the villas there.  TIA.

If you look at any commercial centre, with bars and restaurants they nearly all follow the same pattern.

As in its impossible to say.
Go on a Friday lunchtime one week and it’s busy, the next week it’s like a ghost town. Same can be said of an evening.. One evening everywhere will be busy, next night not a soul around. Or you can go out and sit in one busy bar at 6pm, by 8pm it’s quiet, but the bar that was quiet around the corner is now heaving.Of course  live sports, music and quizzes make a huge call in what makes a bar busy.

You only have to look at somewhere like Villamartin Plaza.  If you go during the day there are only a handful of bars open In the summer evenings it’s full to capacity and still is this year, despite the music ban.

The strip at Cabo Roig, huge choice of bard and restaurants, live music on in a number of places and for most of the year very popular in the evening. Daytime again a different story, almost everything closed during the day.

Main Street in Quesada, busy morning and evening, during the afternoon absolutely no one around.

You’ll also find in the winter months, some bars will close as early 9 pm. If they’ve not got any trade they don’t stay open, which can be quite fruswhen you call in for a quick drink before you go home.

Even the bar and restaurant staff can’t work out if they’re going to have quiet or busy day

We've only been living on la finca for a year - there's one bar which has shut whilst we have been here, the Chandelier, another has opened, FIKA, it's not the busiest of commercial centres but there is enough to satisfy us.

Our favourite restaurant is Baybrooks and we also use Sugar bar a fair bit for drinks and a less formal dining experience.

Personally the fact that there are far less people able to rent out here, due to Algorfa not issuing tourist licences at the moment along with covid, has put a cap on the amount of footfall which in turn doesn't encourage new ventures.

It's bitter sweet as we don't have different neighbours every week on an AirBnB break. There is however a fair bit of new build activity and this should lead to more people coming out.

Property sales are picking up with 3 properties selling on our community (c.55 properties from villas to 2 bed apartments) in the last 3 months, all to British holiday home buyers.

The most puzzling thing here is that quite a few bars are shut on a Monday.
